Enhancing Pastoral Ministry (2027)

Course

Enhancing Pastoral Ministry is a six-session course for people who are involved in anyway in pastoral care (for example, Readers, Lay Elders, clergy, pastoral visitors) as well as those interested in a deeper understanding of this ministry. The sessions take place on Wednesday evenings at Earl Stonham Village Hall:

  • 27 January 2027
  • 3 February
  • 10 February
  • 24 February
  • 3 March
  • 10 March

The sessions cover a range of themes:

  • An introduction to Pastoral Ministry
  • Safeguarding and Pastoral Ministry
  • Developing our Listening Skills
  • Young People and Pastoral Ministry
  • Pastoral Ministry with children and families
  • Pastoral Ministry as Mission

Guest speakers include:

  • Karen Galloway and members of the Diocesan Safeguarding team
  • Annabel Turner, member of the diocesan counselling team
  • The Diocesan Growing Younger team
